Xi said building on progress already made, the two countries must now develop new platforms for innovation and enhance exchanges in areas including mining, biology, archaeology and aerospace.

Xi also visited a museum to learn about the city's history of opening-up as a port, its achievements as a special economic zone and its future development plans.
Xi said China will continue to shorten the negative list, promote the opening-up of services, manufacturing and agriculture sectors on all fronts and allow foreign investors to operate wholly owned businesses in more sectors.
